my roomie who’s a celtics fan passed by my room and simply said “it’s gettin ugly man” …this was in the 1st quarter…we were already down by 10+

by the end of the 1st half, it was over and i was literally thinking offseason…”what are we going to do with Andre?” “Is Collins staying”?

the 2nd half started, i took a nap trying to avoid the ugliness of the game…then i heard the cheers from the TV…we were making a comeback…the lead kept getting shorter…i put my glasses back on and then the Celtics go on a little run…i go back to napping thinking i was bad luck….then the sixers make another run in the 4th and i woke right up….meeks…lavoy….thad…lou…..Iguodala…..that 4th quarter was amazing…crazy season it has been

so you’re saying that we came back from 15+ points? Scored 33 in the 4th? Andre Iguodala with the clutch??? F outta here you’re lying….NOPE.

I am still trying to figure out how we won. I LOVED the energy from Thad/Lavoy. We’ve been missing that, and it’s a bright spot in our future. Doug gotta take Hawes and Brand out. Evan Turner had the shots, but missed them. Meeks’ energy was needed. Lou was boss. Andre…man Philly loves you when you could do that.

Series tied. I really wanted to go up 3-1…hell we coulda swept them….game 3 was AWFUL. 1/2 of Game 4 was NICE

Thoughts on Monta….no…don’t want him….and yes, yes I do

• Probably my biggest concern, is the development of Evan Turner. People were claiming bust, but he progressed so much throughout the season. And the way he progressed, was by getting more time and getting the ball. Of course he’ll get more time, since he’ll be starting, but my expectations of him being the scorer of this team will take a standstill. I believe he’ll still get some ball time with Monta, but i’m just hoping having Monta there won’t force him to shy away from the ball and taking shots.
• Defensively, i’ve heard a lot of negative things bout Monta….i mean, Andre’s defense was huge for us. Andre was able to guard the top player on the other team…LeBron, Durant…anybody, Dre got him…Monta definitely can’t do that. That may be a problem in the future. Plus, we’ll be pretty small with Jrue/ET/Monta. His defense can’t be that bad right?
• Not the big man we were looking for.

but

• Monta is that dude we need….after seeing the Heat and other teams beat us late in the game time after time…it’s obvious that we lack the “closer/go-to” guy…and that man will be Monta…Monta will be that guy that can go shot for shot with a guy like D-Wade. Something that Andre Iguodala could not do and was not supposed to do.
• Monta also can be the consistent scorer that we never had in a few years.
• And he has “beast mode”

……….I don’t think ANY TEAM is willing to give up a good player for Andre, so we might as well take it. The other offer was Hedo Turkoglu. I still want a dominant big man who goes hard in the paint, but that can be covered in the draft.

p.s. After reading and looking around both sides of the trade, it seems like both sides are really underrating the other player. Andre Iguodala may not be a scorer, but his contributions in other areas (Defense, rebounding, assists) is massive. Monta is not Lou Williams…oh my god cmon lol…

TL;DR Ellis provides the scoring, not the defense. May disrupt our younger players from developing.
