It’s been 10 years since Super Bowl XXXVI.
I have an awful memory, but I still remember celebrating my heart out at 9 years old after Ricky Proehl caught the TD from Warner to tie the game. Then i remember that awful drive that seemed to spark the Patriots dynasty. I remember Kevin Faulk. I remember that stupid facemask Kurt Warner had to wear because he got his throat messed up after a sack. I remember when Marshall Faulk came in during a punt return and everybody got hyped only for him to get tackled for nothing. I remember the Patriots coming out as a team as opposed to being introduced individually and everybody made a big deal about it. I remember that entire Ram season expecting us to win the Super Bowl easy, and then being left disappointed. I remember the kick.
After these 10 years, Tom Brady and company are back for another Super Bowl and the Rams have yet to make it back. To be more blunt, we haven’t done anything since. A couple playoff appearances, but a bunch of years where the NFL Draft was our big event.
I’ve been waiting ever since that year for my Rams to win the Super Bowl. I wasn’t lucky enough to experience that epic SB XXXIV, i started watching the NFL/Rams the season after during the 2000 season. I’ve been a loyal fan season after season. Going through some of the worst seasons in NFL history. Going to Candlestick with my customized Rams jersey, screaming my lungs out when the Rams scored (Ask my dad lol)..
One day!
last post, i swear
Everybody’s talking about Cundiff this, Cundiff that…but nobody’s talking about how Moore put da team on his back and stopped Lee Evans’ game winning catch.
I know we all keep yelling at the TV telling DBs to turn around and look back for the ball…but in reality, it’s not as easy as it looks…so the next best idea for a DB with his back to the ball is to strip the ball, and that’s what Moore did and that’s how the Pats are goin back.
012212Man, i gotta choose between two of my fav fantasy players this season….Gronk and Cruz?
